Q: Should CBD oils be taken with food?
A: Our CBD drops and sprays are designed to be taken sub-lingually. This means they are absorbed directly into the blood vessels underneath your tongue, which is why we advise you to hold them for 90 seconds before swallowing. If you simply ingest them directly (with or without food), most of the CBD will be lost through the digestive process before it can be absorbed.
Q: Does CBD oil have any nutritional value?
A: Our CBD oils and gummy bears are classed as food supplements, but CBD is not considered a nutrient by itself. Some of our oils (Active and Support oils) have added vitamins, botanicals or minerals – you will find the nutritional values for these additional components on their packaging. In this case, Active Recover oils are enriched with Vitamin D3 (100% NRV).
Q: Do Vitality CBD products contain any sugar?
A: The only Vitality CBD product that contains any sugar is the CBD Gummy Bears (0.98 g of sugar per gummy bear).
Q: Can I give Vitality CBD products to my child, who has ADHD?
A: Vitality CBD products are intended for adult use only and we cannot make any medical claims about CBD’s effects.
Q: How long will CBD topicals take to work?
A: As CBD topicals only act locally, they generally take a few minutes until their effects are felt. You will likely feel an immediate sensation from added ingredients (moisturisers in Skin Cream, cooling effect of Joint Gel, soothing feel of beeswax in Muscle Balm) before the CBD can bind to the local receptors.
Q: Does the CBD from topicals show on any drug tests?
A: CBD does not show up on drug tests and it is perfectly legal to consume in both oral and topical formulations. The cannabinoid that shows up on drug tests is THC – all of our products are lab tested and certified as THC-free.
