Meet the Vitality CBD Team - Ella

In just about any company there is one person who keeps track of everything and everyone, making sure that it all comes together well in the end. There is also one employee who’s been there the longest and knows all the ins and outs of the business whenever a question arises. Put them both together and you have Ella, the big brain behind Vitality’s operations and our go-to problem solver!

We peeked under (and beyond) some of Ella’s many job hats with the questions below.

 

 

1.     Tell us a bit about what you do at Vitality.

I’m in charge of all operations and supply chain, as well as production and forecasting. I manage our relationship with Amazon, one of our key partnerships. Compliance and quality control, as well as new product development are also on my to-do list.

I truly believe we're making a difference for our customers, and every time that is confirmed with a very heartfelt success story on how our products helped transform their quality of life, that makes all our efforts worthwhile😊.

 

2.     Vitality’s team is overwhelmingly made up of women (11 out of 12 people). How would you say this shapes your experience and the workplace culture here?

I’m happy to say we have created a very safe and friendly environment. We all spend the better part of our days at work, so making sure we all feel included and happy was a priority for me. I’m immensely proud of my team and their can-do and will-do attitude: from forklift driving to palletisation, nothing can deter them!

 

3.     What achievement are you most proud of so far (either personal or in the workplace)?

A clean slate sounded daunting at 38 years old, but I decided to bite the bullet, left everything behind, moved countries, started a new career in a different industry and I’m happy to say made it all work.

 

4.     What’s a topic that you’re fascinated with? Or an artist/author/creator you’re always happy to get more content from?

I can easily get stuck on listening to the same piece of music for weeks on end, especially if it’s one of the great female voices such as Adele, Kelly Clarkson or P!nk.

 

5.     Tell us a bit about a woman you admire or find inspiring.

My hero is my mother. An accomplished professional with a medical and teaching career that inspired and helped so many, an amazing work ethic and a fighting attitude that shaped who I am today.

 

6.     What are a few of your favourite things?

One of my favourite places ever is Florence. I can't wait to go back, hopefully this year, and enjoy the amazing history and architecture, the authentic cuisine and unique energy Florence has to offer.
