If you ever appreciated the lovely imagery accompanying our emails, socials posts and pretty much every product on our website, our graphic designer is the one who made it all catch your eye! At Vitality we pride ourselves on the excellent work of our in-house visual artist, keeping the connection between us and you as personal as can be (no AI can match up to true human talent!).
We asked Charlotte, our resident Swiftie and the artist making Vitality look good, to tell us what sparks her creativity.
1. Tell us a bit about what you do at Vitality.
I am Vitality’s graphic designer. I create all the graphic elements that get featured on the website through to social media and beyond.
I love to create and conceptualise ideas that make an impact and that start a conversation. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing your creation go live for the world to see.
2. Vitality’s team is overwhelmingly made up of women (11 out of 12 people). How would you say this shapes your experience and the workplace culture here?
It creates a supportive and safe environment that fosters a space filled with hard working and collaborative individuals.
3. What achievement are you most proud of so far (either personal or in the workplace)?
I started to create pottery in my spare time and I'm really proud of the few pieces I've created. One being a cowboy boot matchstick holder and a couple of leaf inspired trinket dishes I created as Christmas gifts.
4. What’s a topic that you’re fascinated with? Or an artist/author/creator you’re always happy to get more content from?
I love walking round art galleries and going to exhibitions. My favourite artist is Edward Hopper and my favourite graphic designer is Saul Bass. Also, I'm a big Taylor Swift fan, so I always love to listen to her music in my daily life – that became more prominent after seeing her on The Eras tour last year.
5. Tell us a bit about a woman that you admire or find inspiring.
I love sport especially football as I used to play it myself. From a young age I've always found women in sport really inspiring, motivating me to achieve my goals.
6. What are a few of your favourite things?
My favourite city is New York, and I would love to go back there and explore more of the city. A song that always picks me up is my favourite song called Fearless (Taylor’s version) 😉 by Taylor Swift. Also, my favourite thing every day is walking and cuddling my dog, Buddy.
