What is CBD Oil?

CBD oil is a carrier oil such as MCT oil or hemp seed oil that contains CBD extract. CBD is an extract from the hemp plant that is commonly taken as a complement to a balanced lifestyle. CBD oil is one of the most popular ways to regularly take CBD and is commonly available in drops or spray format. CBD oils come in a variety of CBD strengths and flavours and can even contain additional supplements.

Is CBD Oil Legal?

CBD oil is completely legal in the UK as long as the CBD is retracted from hemp containing less than 0.2% THC. THC is the compound found in cannabis and hemp that give the plant its intoxicating ‘high’ effect. All of our CBD is 0.0% THC and is independently lab tested to ensure every batch meets this standard. You can view these lab reports by going to  our batch testing page online.

How is CBD Oil Manufactured?

CBD oil is manufactured by extracting CBD from the hemp flower and adding this extract to a carrier oil. CBD itself is not an oily substance, being more resin-like when extracted from hemp. In its raw form, CBD is not easy to take, so it is then added to a carrier oil such as MCT oil or hemp seed oil.

Once combined with a carrier oil, the resulting liquid is the gold, clear or green oil that we recognise as a CBD oil. In this form, CBD is far easier to dose and can be used straight out of the bottle (after a good shake). Flavourings can then also be added to make the oil more palatable for different users.

When should I take CBD oil?

We recommend taking CBD twice a day; once in the morning and once before bed. This is a simple and easy way to dose and fits into the majority of lifestyles. However, there is no ‘right’ time to take CBD oil and  it can be dosed as when the user desires.
The key thing to remember is to stick to your chosen daily dose and keep taking CBD regularly. The most satisfied CBD users regularly take CBD for a month or more and keep up their CBD routine consistently.

Can I drive whilst using CBD?

Yes, all our CBD products are non-intoxicating. You will not experience any high or psychedelic effects. This statement is true for each and every one of our products, including our popular CBD Gummies or CBD e-liquids, which can be ingested by vaping. In the UK, it's completely legal to use CBD and drive.

Which CBD oil should I start with?

While your choice of flavour is entirely down to preference, we recommend new CBD users to start with our 2400mg CBD oil. This versatile CBD oil contains enough CBD for roughly a month of 70mg daily doses, giving you plenty of time to try CBD. Plus, every package of 2400mg CBD oil comes with both a spray head and a pipette dropper, letting new users try out both methods of application.

How do I take CBD oil?

CBD oil is taken sublingually, which just means it is absorbed under the tongue. To take CBD sublingually, simply spray or drop your CBD oil beneath your tongue and hold it there for 90 seconds or until the oil has completely absorbed. We also have different ranges of CBD infused cosmetic products.

Why do I take CBD under the tongue?

Taking CBD under the tongue, or sublingually, is done because it is  the most efficient way to take CBD orally By holding CBD oil under your tongue, the CBD within will be more quickly absorbed into the bloodstream.
This concept is known as bioavailability and simply means the percent of a compound that is absorbed into the bloodstream when ingested. Taking CBD sublingually ensures that you are getting the best bioavailability and thus more accurate CBD doses.

Will CBD oil work if swallowed?

Yes, but to a much lesser extent. CBD will still be absorbed into the bloodstream even if you accidentally swallow your CBD oil. However, by swallowing CBD oil, it then goes through your digestive system which is a less efficient way to take CBD and offers lower bioavailability. CBD oil is safe to swallow but a far less accurate way to dose CBD than by taking it sublingually.
