What is CBD E-liquid?

CBD e-liquid, also known as CBD vape juice, is a liquid containing CBD designed to be used in e-cigarettes (vapes). Vaping CBD introduces CBD to your bloodstream via your lungs, which has some advantages over CBD oils for regularly dosing.

What does CBD Vape Juice contain?

CBD vape juice is made from a simple combination of well known ingredients. This includes Vegetable Glycerin (VG), Propylene Glycol (PG), flavourings and of course CBD. VG and PG are well known food and medicine additives and form the base of the liquid that is vaporised and inhaled.

Is Vaping CBD Legal?

Vaping CBD is legal in the UK, providing the CBD vape juice is made from hemp extract containing less than 0.2% THC. THC is the compound found in hemp and cannabis that can cause the well known intoxicating or ‘high’ effect. Look for CBD vape liquids that can guarantee 0.0% THC content with lab reports to be sure you are getting the best product.

Is Vaping CBD Safe?

Vaping CBD is relatively new and there is still a lot of research being done into the overall safety. However, according to the latest research, the NHS has stated that vaping is around 95% healthier than smoking tobacco. Vaping is not recommended for under 18s and pregnant women. If you have any medical concerns about vaping CBD, consult your GP for more information.

Is Vaping CBD addictive?

Vaping CBD, which is a non-psychotropic component of the cannabis plant, does not produce the "high" associated with marijuana use and does not have addictive properties. Additionally, studies have shown that CBD can actually help in reducing addiction to other substances, such as opioids.

Does vaping CBD relieve depression and anxiety?

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) specifically prohibits definitively claiming that CBD relieves or reduces symptoms of depression and anxiety. If you are struggling with depression, anxiety or any other mental health issues, please consult your GP. CBD is never a replacement prescription for depression and anxiety- nor is it ever prescribed for those with the aforementioned conditions.

CBD Vape vs CBD Oil

CBD vape juice is purposely formulated for use in e-cigarettes whereas CBD oil is meant for oral, sublingual application only. CBD vape liquid is different from CBD vape oil in some very important ways and has very different ingredients. You should never vape normal CBD oil; by vaping CBD oil you will effectively be inhaling hot oil which can be very dangerous.

How do you Vape CBD?

Vaping CBD is done by simply using a CBD e-liquid with a mouth-to-lung e-cigarette. These tend to be the smaller ‘pen-style’ vape devices that operate at lower wattages. Just add your chosen CBD e-liquid and vape as normal.

What Wattage is Best for CBD Vaping?

For vaping CBD we recommend a maximum wattage of 15W. This will ensure that the liquid is vaporised at the correct temperature and not burn out the coil. In terms of the coil resistance, it recommended to use a coil between 0.9-1.8 ohms for the best performance.

How Much CBD Should I Vape?

70mg CBD daily via vaping is our recommended daily dose. This can be easily achieved by measuring how much vape liquid you are using and taking note of the CBD strength. As a rule of thumb, around 1ml to 2ml of CBD vape juice daily should provide enough CBD for regular and efficient dosing.

Are CBD vapes available via prescription?

CBD disposables are not available via prescription in the UK. The MHRA classifies CBD as a medicine, but only if it is used for medicinal purposes.
