Exploring Vitality CBD’s Oral Drops & Oral Spray
Why choose CBD oral oils?
If you’re not a vaper (and even if you are) the options for ingesting CBD can seem a little overwhelming. At Vitality CBD we’ve put together a basic guide for CBD which breaks down your main options, but before making your first purchase it’s best to be as informed as possible. So, how do CBD oils differ from other CBD products?
Easy to apply and long-lasting
The linchpin of comprehending the different methods of consuming CBD is bioavailability. In essence, bioavailability is the degree and rate of absorption of any given compound into your circulatory system. Generally, the quicker the pathway into your bloodstream, the higher the bioavailability, hence the use of IV drips in situations where a quick onset is required.
Accordingly, the issue with taking CBD orally is that it passes through the stomach before reaching circulation, where a good portion of it dissolves. This is why we recommend taking both our Oral Drops and our Oral Spray sublingually, so that the CBD is absorbed through the multitudinous blood vessels beneath the tongue.
How to apply sublingually
Simply lift your tongue and either use the pipette for our oral drops, or the spray applicator for our oral spray to administer a few drops. Then, wait for around 90 seconds until all of the CBD oil has been absorbed. Don’t worry if you swallow some! It’s perfectly safe for ingestion, it’s just noticeably less efficient.
The benefit of sublingual oils over our vape oils is that the onset is slower and more subtle, and the results typically lasts longer. Whilst vaping leads to the effects being felt within a few minutes, and lasting a few hours, the effect of our oral oils come on over the course of half an hour, and last around six hours. For those who just want to dose twice daily, perhaps around a busy schedule, this is the perfect approach.
Why “Broad Spectrum”?
Each item in our product range has been created with one goal in mind: harnessing the natural synergy of the hemp plant. That’s why both our Oral Drops and our Oral Spray are broad spectrum, meaning that alongside CBD, they contain a range of other hemp compounds, including cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids, but without any THC.
These accompanying elements contribute to what is known in industry-terms as the entourage effect. Proposed by S. Ben-Shabat and Raphael Mechoulam, it suggests that the effect of CBD is amplified greatly when it’s taken alongside its natural cohabitors.
Since the compounds within the hemp plant have spent millennia evolving together, Ben-Shabat and Mechoulam drew the logical conclusion that these elements have a synergistic relationship which should be respected, rather than simply separating out CBD. At Vitality, our goal is to utilise that relationship to its full extent.

Oral Drops or Oral Spray?
So, you’ve got your head around what separates vape oils and oral oils, and you know what broad spectrum is all about, but how are you supposed to decide between the Oral Drops and the Oral Spray?
Vitality CBD’s Oral Drops
The main distinction between the two is the choice of carrier oil. This is just what it sounds like: the oil we blend our CBD extract with so it’s easier to ingest. For our Oral Drops, at Vitality CBD we have selected hemp seed oil as a carrier, renowned for being high in omega fatty acids and proteins.
Due to these properties, hemp seed oil is often taken by itself, but in conjunction with the cannabinoids found in our Oral Drops it also furthers the entourage effect. If you’re looking for a full hemp experience and you don’t vape (if you do, check out our Whole Plant E-liquid) this is the product for you.

Vitality CBD’s Oral Spray
For some people, placing natural oils beneath their tongue can be an odd experience, which is why at Vitality CBD we’ve developed alternative solutions, including our Oral Spray. Rather than a viscous liquid, instead you can deliver your CBD in a fine spray, making the process lighter and easier.
Instead of hemp seed oil, our Oral Spray utilises MCT (coconut) oil as its carrier, the purpose of which is twofold. Firstly, studies have repeatedly proven that MCT oil is particularly conducive with cannabidiol, and secondly, the coconut flavour further makes the process of sublingual ingestion easier due to its mellow flavour.

What’s your flavour?
Whilst the carrier oils contribute to the taste and consistency of each product, both of our orals oils also come in three unique flavours, each handpicked due to Vitality CBD’s belief that they complement the CBD experience. See a breakdown here:
- This is the true CBD experience, maximising the naturally earthy flavours of hemp in a palatable, organic way.
- The citrus notes in our lemon drops and spray come from our organic lemon essential oils, making for the perfect zest.
- If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this is the one for you. The natural sugars of the blackberry flavouring counter the earthy hemp perfectly.
The other major difference between our CBD oils is the strength. That’s why we’ve kept it simple, breaking it down into low, medium and high categories. If you’re unsure where to start, see our helpful breakdown below:
- A mellow introduction to the world of CBD. Even if you’ve taken CBD in the past we recommend this as your starting point.
- Our medium strength oral oils have a bit more of a kick. If 300mg isn’t working for you, shift up to this after around 30 days of use.
- The big one. Even for veteran users our 1200mg oils pack a punch, though they’re still designed with daily usage in mind.
Our current product range is a reflection of years of research and development, all guided by Vitality CBD’s central belief in the natural synergy of the hemp plant.

CBD and your health
In an exhaustive report, the World Health Organization has made a definitive statement on cannabidiol usage:
The evidence from well controlled human experimental research indicates that CBD is not associated with abuse potential.
You can read the full report here.
Whilst CBD has been declared safe for human consumption by the World Health Organization, we recommend you inform your doctor of your CBD intake, as it has the potential to interfere with other medication you may use.
Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
